Dan Quayle
(by Edward Goldstein)

Parody of Wang Chung's "Betrayal"

He was once V.P. and seemed real cool
And a great guy from all I really knew
When you became Pres' it was like a dream
For all I knew Bush could not fail
But now I know of Dan Quayle

I watched him on TV in my living room
Bush campaigned to bring the votes around
His race came alive for me But as I watched, my face grew pale
For now I know of Dan Quayle

Dan Quayle!
Whatever you do, don't bite the dust
Because I'm scared of Dan Quayle
When I asked you why you picked him you just shook your head
You said to carry the north and enough had been said
And when the Press talks to Dan he just stares in place
If you were to look in his ears all you'd see is empty space
I noticed the smile of his, that silly grin
I wonder if his presence was really needed to win
And now the man I supported has picked a fool for V.P.
And that's why I ask how you could pick Dan Quayle
Oh I wonder how you could have picked Dan Quayle

Now I wish that you live a long life
Because I'm terrified that he will fail
For now I know of Dan Quayle

Dan Quayle!
Whatever you don't bite the farm
He can't even tie his own shoes
For now we all know of Dan Quayle
Pray that Bush doesn't kick the pail...
Now I know of Dan Quayle...

Oh my wasn't that fun. Now take me back to the parody menu!
